Little Animal Lover Baby Memory Book

The Little Animal Lover Baby Memory Book has a cream cover with a big grey elephant, pink ear and all, and "Baby's first year" hand-lettered in orange, pink, teal and green, with "a simple book of firsts" along the bottom.

Inside, the colors turn bold, with teal, jungle green, mustard yellow and deep navy. Elephants, a giraffe, parrots and other jungle birds, a polar bear, penguins, a pig and a bear fill the pages, all drawn by hand by Lucy Darling founder Haily Meyers. The birthday pages get "Yay!" speech bubbles.

Your Free Photo Lab

The hardest part of finishing a baby book is getting the photos printed to fit. The free Photo Lab at memories.lucydarling.com does that part for you. Pick your book and it shows every photo spot, page by page. Add photos straight from your phone, it crops each one to the right size, and you get print-ready files to print at home or at any photo shop. You can jot down details like birth weight and length as you go. It runs in your browser, with no app to download and no account needed.

What's Inside

Forty-eight pages carry you from before birth through age five, with spaces for 49 photos. Thirty-seven of them give you a short prompt to fill in, and the last 11 are left free for notes, extra photos and keepsakes.

• Before You Were Born: the ultrasound photo, weeks, cravings, due date and who you told first, plus a letter to your baby written before you met
• The day you arrived: time, date, weight, length, hair, eyes, who delivered you and where, with pages for the birth announcement, the hospital bracelet, and baby's footprints and hand tracings
• Where you lived, and a snapshot of the world the year your baby was born
• Months 1 through 12: one page per month, each with a photo and four short prompts (We'll never forget, You love, You can, You don't like)
• Favorite things, a family tree drawn to match the book, firsts from first bath to first word, and twelve first holidays
• Your first scribble, birthday pages for ages 1 through 5, and a First Day of School page
